Where's Jonny?

Aaron and I are planning on redecorating the living room. Nothing fancy, new paint, a new mirror for over the fireplace/mantle and we're adding a collage picture frame.

So...

I picked out 10 pics and taped them all in which is somewhat tedious and then when all is said and done I realized:

AUNTIE LESLEY DIDN'T PUT IN A JONATHAN PICTURE, AAGH!

Needless to say I ran right out and got some printed so I can fix that before we hang it on the wall, although I guess we should probably paint first.
On a totally seperate note, another Blogger friend has done some informal research on determining gender via a chinese gender chart (which I can't figure out how to make a link to) and her faithful blog readers and I want to know if you had the option of choosing what sex your baby would be, would you?

I hate to say it, but I think I probably would... I would let the first one be a surprise, then if it were a girl, the second would be a surprise too, but if it were a boy, I would make sure the second one was a girl... I don't know, I just always dreamed of being a mom to girls someday and if I tried and it wasn't happening, I would like if I could do something about it... I want boys someday too but I just don't know what to do with boys and would want someone to have mother-daughter days with... Just to take them out of school for the day and spend the whole day going shopping and getting manicures and all that fun girly stuff... Jimmy would have to do all the boy stuff... I'd be useless there!

I like surprises! BUT if I knew ahead of time that there was a defect that could be safely repaired in-utero, I would do that. If it was unrepairable, I would learn as much about it as possible so i could enjoy the child and whatever special qualities they brought to the family. Each child deserves to have a happy & healthy life.

Ok blogger still hates me, let me try this again ...

JJ really wants a boy but secretly I'm scared one will come out. Really I'm not into the whole making play forts and jumping in mud puddles .. whatever will I do with a boy? Perhaps it is the fear of the unknown?

Hmmm ... interesting question. Prior to having my son - if you had asked me if I could choose a gender my answer would be yes in the sense that it would guarantee me a boy. But I got the boy I always dreamed of as girl are very predominant in both my hubby's and my sides of the family.

Now that I have my boy - it doesn't really matter what the gender is as long as the baby is healthy. Ironically, my hubby always wanted a girl and if the ultrasounds are correct, he will be receiving his fondest wish within the next couple of weeks. :)

I always imaging having a girl as well. Although I have learned so many great things about having a boy. And wouldn't trade my boy for the whole world, but if I could chose.... it would be a girl.

I have not had any children yet, but when I do start family planning I will be pleased with either a boy or a girl, I would not want to choose. I grew up with an older brother and younger sister, and I had the best of the Tom boy world and the girlie world as well. In fact, I don't think I would even find out the babys gender prior to birth, I want that to be a surprise as well, there are few enough surprises in life.
