One more day of school - yee haw!

Aaron had to work today so the boys and I headed to Calaway Park and met up with Heather and Jonathan then headed over to visit Liam and Auntie Kathryn. Busy day - I'm exhausted but still have to get organized for the dayhome tomorrow. NaBloPoMo's theme for July is routine. What's that again? The extracurricular activities have totally thrown the whole idea of routine out the window.

We did it!

Mother Nature pulled out all the stops today. We woke up to snow on the deck, drove through a bit of sleet this a.m. and in the end the weather was gorg for a 5 K walk. As a group we decided to walk versus run - I was totally down with that :o) We had a mostly overcast walk with a few sprinklers for the last 200 metres. It was fantastic! I wish I had brought my camera to the event. There were some pretty risque costumes as well as pretty innovative ones. The most unique would have to be the guys in red briefs that painted themselves gold and carried a woman on a homemade platform, you know the plywood with a couple 2 by 4s running width wise underneath. It was pretty cool - and pretty fun to watch them maneuver the bridges, lol. Thanks everyone for supporting us :o)

Tried and True Secret Recipe from Thing Two

Yesterday and today Thing Two made lunch for himself and his dayhome friends. It was the same Secret Recipe both days and the kids all but licked their plates clean. This recipe is so fantastic that Thing Two thought I should share it with all of my stamping friends so I'll do one better and share it with the entire world:
Thing Two's Secret RecipeFirst you cut 6 english muffins in half to make 12 pizza shells. Spread on some pizza sauce. Top with pepperoni (skip that for Thing Two's vegetarian girlfriend) and then cover with shredded mozza. Broil for 3 minutes and serve. Voila!
