$500?!? Huh, whaddayamean that's 1/2 price?

I FINALLY took Aaron's Calgary Flames signed jersey in to see how much it would cost to have it framed and yeppers they quoted me 500 bucks.

Wowsers! It's not like it's an Iggy jersey or anything.

So, we're now looking at a few other ..er more cheaper.. options. And all this is to decorate our family room. I had this vision in my head of a few framed UFC posters and the framed jersey but now I'm rethinking this a wee bit.

If anyone in cyberspace has a cheaper option I'm all ears :o)

And to celebrate St. Paddy's Day we had green milk and cookies and read some books about lephrachauns - simple, yet fun.

For the jersey, take it outside of Calgary for a quote. That's insane. It's just the city price. Here in QC it would be SO much cheaper.

As for posters, I would simply board them, not frame them. We've done that to a few. It costs about $20. They mount the poster on this board of wood and seal it in. Afterward it looks great and professional - less like a $15 rolled poster that got tacked up on the wall!

Good luck!

If you don't need the framing to be archival, then buy a shadow box and pin it in yourself.

Or check prices with smaller Mom & Pop type stores.

Wow. A guy at work just got his Ottawa Sen Spezza Jersey done. He went to Michael and had them make a frame and he mounted it himself. It cost $50.00. If you know anyone good at woodwork. They could build you a frame that would fit the Jersey.
