And the wet T-shirt winner from last night was.....

LIAM!
Just kidding - kind of. Liam came with Kathryn to check out all the beauty purses and spit up a little on my one shoulder, then a little on my other shoulder and then all over my front. I was wearing a creamy coloured shirt which was pretty see-thru by the last bout of reflux. All things considered, it seems to have no effect on Liam's spirit, he was still a happy little guy flirting like crazy with Cindy R.

And here are my purses that I picked out last night:

The zebra is very Sex and the City according to Andrea - so now I need a dress to go with and I'll be set for our girls night out this July.

And here's my boring but very functional purse:

Thanks everyone for coming! It was a fun night :o)

JT and the Juicebox

You have to listen closely to JT singing his fave song and you'll hear him say juicebox instead of jukebox. So cute!

7 KM seems like a cakewalk when you're with a walking partner

Tonight was the first night of our walk around the Circle in our neighbourhood. Margo had already done the route and said it's 3.5 KM so we're walking it twice. And we actually did it. Okay, Margo couldn't but C and I did. It was a big moment, we talked about it, I tried to make a plan for which nights I could and you know when it came down to it - I pushed it aside and figured we'll do it when it gets nice. Did I mention it's been snowing like CRAZY here??? What the heck did we do to Mother Nature to make her HATE the Sun Goddess of Prestwick? In any case, despite the cool and just a wee bit snowy weather, we did the walk.

Now I just need to remember to wear proper socks next time so I don't get MORE blisters!

It's the beginning of a strict sports schedule - I'm not looking forward to it

Thing One and Thing Two are both in soccer two nights a week as well as baseball two-three nights a week. There's already a few conflicts so we'll have to pick which sport is moe important to the boys..and of course for baseball they're playing at different fields at the same time on the same night. At least for soccer they're both on the same field so Aaron will watch one boy and I'll watch the other. I 'accidentally' signed them up for the same group, Alex is in U-8 where he should be in U-6 BUT if you've seen the size of him -he'll fit right in.

Here's JT in his new Orioles uniform:

And here's the books I got from the library so I can learn all about baseball. (Okay maybe they're not ALL about baseball, but a lot of them are) After watching the baseball practise today I realized that neither JT or I know the basics of baseball.

And you know I was actually considering finding a golf class for JT this spring/summer, seeing as he's really good at it. Then I seen all of the schedules and quickly came to my senses. We haven't even come up with our backup plan for the nights the boys are in two different places and Aaron works late.

It's going to be a BUSY BUSY BUSY 2 months - so if the blogging goes to the wayside you'll know why!

Who's bigger Mommy or the Lego Tower?

Today was the best day ever. My kids were awesome, my dayhome was awesome and we had takeout for dinner which made my evening with Aaron awesome - little cleanup and a lot of time to hang out.

This morning I brought the huge box of MegaBlocks out for the kids to play with and JT and Alex jumped right in and began trying to build a tower way bigger than Mommy. This was somewhere between 7:15 and 7:45 this morning...it was a great way to start our day.

My irrational fear of cocks

Get your mind out of the gutter - I'm referring to peacocks of course!

Sunday we went to the zoo and it was wonderful. Not too hot, not too cold, not too windy and not too smelly :o)
My favourite part would have been seeing the stingrays, they are just so graceful and watching them kind of makes me sit back and just relax, taking in their slow elegant movements...sigh...it's so peaceful.
My least favourite part would be the peacock that kept following us around. It was creepy. I can totally admit that I'm not a huge bird fan. Tina can attest to that - we visited one day and I had to be as far away from Ellie when she was out of her cage as possible. So at the zoo when the boys tried to skirt around the peacock and he started to spread his feathers it gave me the heebie-geebies to say the least!

Why sweat the small stuff?

Last night was my stamp class night. Here's one of the cards we were making:
So JT asked if he could make a card with us. I explained that he couldn't right now but later we would make one together. He complained and argued but did go sit in the playroom with some pencil crayons, plain paper and this is what he came up with: His own version of the cupcake card. I tell you, I had to take a minute and collect my thoughts. I was speechless, I'd brushed him off and instead of acting out and being mad he made his own.
Shortly after I made him a cupcake frame and he created this card:
I'm so PROUD!

My little Easter chicks

What a whirlwind weekend! We left Thursday night to head to the cottage and begin our lonnnnng weekend - which somehow never seems long enough.
Thursday- Alex came home with an oh-so cute paper mache Easter chick and a chick hat. Joey didn't have any Easter crafts BUT that's because his class was busy practising for the Easter liturgy which was FABULOUS! He still has it memorized ( ask him Nanny, he'll recite it for you ) Michelle also brought some Easter treats for the kids in these wee little rice krispie baskets. I'm going to have to remember them next Easter.
Friday - We painted eggs at Auntie Arlene's house. It went a lot quicker than we'd planned but I think it's because the kids were so gung-ho to dye, colour and decorate...and then came the glitter.
Saturday - The Easter bunny came early in the morning at the cottage and then we had an egg hunt outside at Auntie Arlene's. The kids had so much fun!Saturday afternoon Deb, Aaron and Alex made streudel for dinner. I've tried looking for a link that describes it but have had zero luck. It's a German dish, you make the dough by hand - it's a very soft dough, than you put it in a warm spot to get stretchy and then you stretch it out over a table and then flip it over into a rope and cut it into little pillows. The idea is that you get lots of layers of dough with spaces in between so they're light and fluffy. I should have taken an after pic. Next time I will.

And did you check out my FABULOUS BED HEAD in the Easter pic of the boys. Just keeping it real folks! Next time I'll edit, lol!

Spring has Sprung

I say that a lot lately - I'm just so EXCITED to not have to wear a winter coat anymore :o)
Check out my little sweetheart Liam. I went shopping last night with Liam and his mom Kathryn and Grandma Liz - I forgot how fun it is to push around the stroller and have a built in purse holder. Now I just need to remember to pick up a Mommy Hook for our next shopping excursion, lol.

Fire hose vs. sewer - what's more interesting

Thing Two splashing without his rain boots on - at least I remembered the uniform Thing Two spraying the hose with Fireman Mike

Thing One spraying the hose with Fireman Mike

Surprisingly enough the water running into the sewer seemed WAYYYYYYY more interesting than when the kids got to spray the fire hoses.
Who would've thought?

Open Sesame - my camera's been possessed by the devil

My blogging's been a bit sporadic but my life's been feeling a bit sporadic lately too.
Where have I left off?

Right, Karate. That was Monday and got blogged Tuesday. So, Wednesday I think I did nothing exciting to blog about.

Thursday was the Nickelback concert which was tres good. I think I'll have to pick up some Seether tunes - if it weren't for there Careless Whisper re-make I think I would have completely written them off. Thank you George Michael!

Friday night was a girls night out for my birthday :o) Andrea and I ran to Sephora and I picked up my new multipurpose Per-fekt gel. It's a foundation, primer, concealer and something else all in one. So far so good.

We seen He's Just Not Into You. It was pretty funny and I think SOOOOO TRUE! I knew a couple girls in high school that were stalkers and reminded me of the main character.

Afterwards we went to Open Sesame for some dessert which turned into appetizers and dessert and cocktails - super yummy! And this is where my camera became possessed.

Picture 1 is Andrea driving us to the movies - no problem.

Picture 2 is Leanne in Elliot's booster seat gong to Open Sesame:

Picture 3 is my first attempt at a pic of Janine and Andrea. WTF?Picture 4 is my self-portrait trying to figure this out:Picture 5 is Michelle and Leanne - did you see a difference? Picture 6 - no girls - no problem, my camera was fine once again. This is my Hook-Her. It's a purse hook designed to keep your bag's off the floor, it works on tables and door knobs.
