Old pictures from the Beck side of the family tree

Aaron and I have spent about 10 hours going thru hundreds and hundreds of old pictures from his mom and scanning them.

And amongst those pictures we found this one:

This was taken at Aaron's parents 25th anniversary dinner ... which will be 15 years ago this May. Look how young we were, lol!

Happy Birthday Ma !

My mom is one of my best friends! She's a great role model, person to chat with, Nannie to my boys, caregiver, she keeps Dad in line (ha ha), a wonderful mother in law to Aaron and she's my mom.
What more can I say?
Wishing you a whole lot more of what we've already experienced and some new experiences just to keep it fun!
Love you!

Geez Louise I hate adding receipts up!

It's indeedio that time of year when I'm figuring out how much of my income was spent on my dayhome. I have a large Ziploc freezer bag filled to the brim with my receipts. Does that beat a shoe box or is a shoe box better? Ha ha.

Oh, the grocery bills. Eye-yi-yiye groceries are expensive.

It's good that the kiddos and I like to bake - flour, sugar and eggs go a lonnnnnng way around here.

Not to mention all the things we make with our Jack o lantern's, lol.

But the bottom line would have to be I wouldn't trade careers for anything...no matter how much I dislike the paperwork!

A quick glimpse of our Christmas

Here's Nannie and Me with Thing 1 and Thing 2.
Our last day of holidays was about as productive as the others. Which is not really productive at all but very relaxing.

And I'm back, lol

After a long hiatus I think I'll make an attempt at posting on the blog again. Please note I did say attempt.

We rung in the New Year with some lovely friends of ours and tried something new to us. Cooking meat on hot stones. I'm sure there's a fancier name for it than that but it is exactly what we did, we started with cheese fondue and then took it up a notch to the hot stones. Tres fun, I highly recommend it if you're looking for a long leisurely dinner with some friends.

What made last night even more fun was that all of our children get along really well. No one felt left out of anything, no tears, no drama just good ole plain fun. It was the perfect evening really.

Today we had a lazy day, we all kind of lazed around for the most part of the day and then headed out to the movies to see We Bought A Zoo. It was a fantastic movie! Every member of the Beck family enjoyed it. Very thought provoking at times. We can all do anything for 20 seconds!

Happy New Year everyone!
