RG's May 2-4 Weekend





We had a lovely weekend up North, and pretty much have our summer holidays planned. Love it! It's funny how the cold weather made us plan such a warm holiday. Didn't matter where so much as the temperature, ha ha.

An evening with Liam

Tonight Auntie Kathryn and Uncle Jeff have tickets to see Celtic Woman so we have the pleasure of Liam's company all night :o) Needless to say my boys were super excited and were fighting over whose bedroom he will sleep in. I'm sure all three of them will be in Alex's room - no one wants to be left out.

We started with dinner and once the sky cleared up from our thundershowers and it dried up a bit Liam, Alex and I headed out for a stroll around Prestwick Pond.

They were so stinking cute together!!! It was a very leisurely stroll, no agenda, no rush and we stopped for each and every bump in the sidewalk or crack in the road to stop and investigate.
I'm sure there will be a part two of our evening added tomorrow night.

In April, Maya Angelou was interviewed by Oprah on her 70+ birthday.. Oprah asked her what she thought of growing older.
And, there on television, she said it was 'exciting...'

Regarding body changes, she said there were many, occurring every day.....like her breasts. They seem to be in a race to see which will reach her waist, first.

The audience laughed so hard they cried. She is such a simple and honest woman, with so much wisdom in her words!

Maya Angelou said this:
'I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow.'

'I've learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.'

It's gonna be a busy week!

Stay tuned for pics of my summer highlights. They are done and are subtle but I'm currently rocking the purple forehead look at the moment. I refuse to try the home remedy of scrubbing it off with Comet so you'll just have to wait until tomorrow and hopefully it will have worn off it's vividness by then.

Heather and Jon are coming to visit this week so we've got a photo shoot booked for Saturday for the g'parents and g'kids and also the cousins together. They all have somewhat matching shirts, same colour but different looks. I think it will be awesome!

We're also prepping for JT's First Communion. Just a small gathering afterwards at Chateau Beck for a late dinner and strawberry shortcake.

Note to self: order strawberry shortcake for Saturday

Today was JT's first baseball practise and Coach Aaron's first try at coaching and it was fabulous. It's going to be a great season!
